Madonna Tops the List

(BUM) Madonna will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on March 10th, 2008.

Madonna tops the list of this year's inductees, which also include John Mellencamp, Leonard Cohen, The Ventures and the Dave Clark Five, according to Rolling Stone magazine.

This is the first year that Madonna has become eligible for induction, as her single, Everybody, was released 25 years ago in 1982.

The induction ceremony will take place on March 10th, 2008 at the Waldorf Astoria in New York.

The Beastie Boys and Donna Summer were also eligible for induction this year, but were not selected.
